Bluestone Bank is seeking an experienced Mortgage Underwriter, DE designation, to join our underwriting team.  In this position, you will be responsible for making loan decisions on behalf of BSB and Secondary Market investors.  You will analyze financial and collateral documentation to ensure a strong and compliant underwriting decision is made on all loans.  You will maintain a constant working knowledge of all Secondary Market Underwriting and Product guidelines as appropriate to investors that we sell loans to.  You will make appropriate lending decisions to approve, decline, counter offer or suspend applications as necessary, adhering to bank or secondary marketing guidelines.  You will also work closely with our processors and mortgage loan officers to ensure all required documentation is obtained, reviewed and acceptable. 

Position requires at least 4-5 years of recent experience in Residential Mortgage loan underwriting, a strong knowledge of secondary market requirements, a thorough understanding of FNMA/FHLMC, VA, FHA, and MHFA loans.  Encompass LOS is a plus.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong analytical and problem solving skills.
