Apple Pay® Questions
To remove a card from Apple Pay, simply select the card in the Passbook® app and click on the Information icon in the bottom corner to view the back of the card. Scroll to the bottom to find the ‘remove card’ option. After deleting, you can re-add this card to Apple Pay at any time.

Paying in stores
To pay in stores, there is no need to wake your iPhone® or open an app. Just hold iPhone near the contactless reader with your finger on Touch ID®. You’ll see “Done” on the display, along with a subtle vibration and beep, letting you know your payment information was sent.
On Apple Watch®, double-click the side button and hold the display of your Apple Watch up to the contactless reader. A gentle tap and beep confirm that your payment information was sent.1
Your experience with Apple Pay may vary by merchant. If asked to verify the last 4 digits of a card number give the merchant the last four digits of the Device Account Number instead. The Device Account Number can be found by selecting the information icon while viewing your card in the Passbook® app. You may also be asked to provide a signature or your debit card PIN to complete your transaction.
Paying within apps
You can also use Apple Pay on your iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air® 2 and iPad MiniTM 3 to make purchases within participating mobile apps. Look for the Apple Pay logo while completing an in-app purchase to use this feature.1

Apple Pay is a new mobile payment method. Just add your Bluestone Bank Debit MasterCard® to Passbook® and you'll continue to enjoy all the rewards, benefits, and security of your card when you use Apple Pay. There's no charge for adding your card to Passbook or using Apple Pay.

The first card you add into Passbook® automatically becomes your default payment card for Apple Pay®. You can select a different card as the default by going to Settings, tap on "Wallet & Apple Pay", tap on "Default Card", and select your card.

When you hold your Apple Pay® device over a contactless payment terminal to make a purchase, your default card will be displayed at the top of the screen and your other cards will appear stacked at the bottom. If you would like to use a card other than your default card to make the purchase, simply tap on the stack of cards at the bottom of the screen to view your other cards, select the one you would like to pay with.

With Apple Pay, instead of using your actual debit card number, when your card is added to the Passbook® app a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted, and stored on a dedicated chip on your iPhone® 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air® 2 or iPad miniTM 3. When you make a purchase, the Device Account Number along with a dynamic, transaction-specific security code is used to process your payment and only takes a matter of seconds. This means that your actual debit card number is never shared with merchants or transmitted with the payment.

Apple Pay is easy and secure. It's a new way to pay, with enhanced security features that help protect your Debit Card information. Payments are authorized using Touch ID® and your actual card account number is not stored on your phone.

There are two different ways to add your debit card to Apple Pay®.
- If your Bluestone Bank debit card is already on file with iTunes®, you can add it to Apple Pay by entering the security code on the back of your card.
- To add your card to Apple Pay:
- On iPhone®, open the Wallet app and tap the plus sign. From there, follow the onscreen instructions.
- On Apple Watch®, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and select “Wallet & Apple Pay,” then tap “Add Credit or Debit Card.” From there, follow the onscreen instructions.
- On iPad®, go into Settings, open “Wallet & Apple Pay,” and select “Add Credit or Debit Card.” From there, follow the onscreen instructions.1
Once your card is verified, it will appear in Passbook® along with a message saying that your card is ready for Apple Pay. In some cases, you may be asked to provide further validation by calling the Apple Support Center at 844.398.3154. You may be asked to provide some of the following information:
- SSN (last 4 digits only)
- Date of Birth
- Mother's Maiden Name
- Home Telephone Number
- Expiration Date
- Zip Code
- Last card transaction amount and merchant

Apple Pay is safe and secure. Your actual card number is not stored on your device or transmitted with the transaction. When you add your card to Passbook®, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted, and securely stored in your device. And when you make a purchase, the Device Account Number coupled with a transaction-specific security code is used to process your transaction.

For product returns, the process simply moves in reverse. Ideally, you will show up at the returns desk with both your phone and a receipt. In some cases, the merchant might require you to touch your phone to the point-of-sale terminal to process the return. Then you just hold your phone near the card reader, select the card you used for the purchase from Passbook®, and rest your finger on the TouchID® button.

If you replace or update your device, your Bluestone Bank debit card will not be transferred automatically. You will need re-add your cards to Passbook® on the new device.

Yes, you can add your Bluestone Bank debit card to multiple Apple Pay® compatible devices.

Yes, if your card number or expiration date has changed you will need to add the card to your phone just like you would any new card. Please delete the old card from the Passbook app.

If your Apple Pay® device is ever lost or stolen, you can use Find My iPhone® provided by Apple® to easily suspend the Device Account Number. You may also call Apple Pay customer support at 844.398.3154 to suspend payments on your phone. You can continue to make purchases using your physical card even when the Device Account Number is suspended on Apple Pay.

You will be able to view the amount, date and merchant of your last debit card transaction within your Apple® wallet. For more details about your past Apple Pay® transactions, login to Online or Mobile Banking or contact Customer Service at 800.356.8622.

Customers that have signed up for our debit card security alerts through Personal Internet Banking, will receive an alert from our Apple Pay enrollment provider. This is our standard cardholder verification method used to ensure the validity of the card when attempting to enroll in Apple Pay.

For security, Apple Pay® uses a Device Account Number, which is a unique number assigned to each card. If the merchant requests the last 4 digits of your card number after you've made a purchase with Apple Pay, please provide the last 4 digits of the Device Account Number, which can be found by selecting the information icon in Passbook®.
