Online Banking - Account Open

  1. Consumer Online Account Open is a way to open new deposit accounts while you are signed on to online banking. In less than a minute, you can open a new account and fund it through an internal transfer of funds from another BSB account. You also have the option of mailing in a check for the new account. However you choose to fund it, the account is opened immediately and you’ll see it in your eBanking Accounts overview.

  2. Checking, Statement Savings, Statement Money Market Accounts and Statement Certificates of Deposit may be opened through Online Account Open.

  3. You may add an additional joint owner who is already established on one of your existing accounts at the bank, or, after the new account is opened, you can request additional names to be added. Please visit our nearest branch location to make the requested changes.

  4. Yes, the new account will be established immediately and available in Online Banking.

  5. You can choose from two ways to fund an account:

    • An Internal Transfer from another Bluestone Bank account.
    • After your account is opened, you can mail in a check or drop off your deposit at a local bank branch.
  6. Yes, you will see the new account immediately in Online Banking in the Account Summary.

  8. If the new account includes checks, you will be asked if you want checks during the account opening process. Once the account is opened and we have received your completed signature card, a standard box of checks will be ordered, unless you specify otherwise.

  9. If the new account includes a debit card, you will be asked if you want a new card in the account opening process. Once the account is opened and we have received your completed signature card, we will send you the new card or add your account to your already existing debit card.

  10. Yes, in addition to being able to see the new account in your online banking account summary, you will receive an email alert confirming the details of the account you opened.
